Statewide Councils

The Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation includes two consumer controlled Councils:

The Statewide Council for Vocational Rehabilitation advises the agency on eligibility, the extent, scope and effectiveness of services provided by the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, and activities that affect or potentially affect the ability of individuals with disabilities to achieve rehabilitation goals.

The Statewide Independent Living Council develops, in conjunction with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, develops the State Plan for Independent Living. It is also responsibile for monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the implementation of that plan.
